“Today for a second I feel that I am not in Mumbai and I am in Sindh’ remarked one of the audience who had come to see the movie ‘Pyar Kare Dis.’ It was wonderful to see a massive gathering of more than 200 sindhis on On 20th January, 2010 from different parts of Mumbai at Jai Hind College Churchgate who had come to watch the movie ‘PYAR KARE DIS’. The whole idea of showing this sindhi movie was suggested by Mr.Rajkumar.L.Kukreja (Executive Board Member, NCPSL, Government of India). This movie directed by Mr.Kamal Nathani and Mr.Harwani received an excellent response by the audience present. This Sindhi movie showed two love stories between a NRI sindhi girl and a Civil Engineer. It also showed an inter-caste lovestory where the christan girl tried to learn sindhi to impress her mother-in-law. Over all the movie was fun with good music and also a message to the youth to presearve our language and culture and also learn to move ahed with teh rest of the world. The movie sent the message of speaking sindhi at home.
Mr. N.W.Shivdasani, Principal of Jaihind College Dr.Kirti Narayan marked their presence. Dr.Vivek Tilwani was felicitated by the Sindhi Circle of Jai Hind College for his dedicated and selfless service to humanity, where he was the first doctor to reach the hospital and treat the victims of 26/11 terrorists attack in the city of Mumbai.
Mr.Kamal Nathani (Director of the movie) & Mr. Ghanshyam Vaswani (Music Director) received the token of appreciation for their contribution to the Sindhi community.
Global Sindhi team was thanked and felicitated by Dr. N. W. Shivdasani for being the Online Media partner for this event.
Mr. Mukesh Advani and group Sindhu Darshan were thanked for covering the event and it would be aired on DD Bharti the date and time of which will be communicated later.
This movie was loved by all and brought together a number of sindhis under the same roof. The entire event was organised by ,Mrs.P. H. Mirapuri (Secretary, Sindhi Circle), Mrs.Kajal Ramchandani (Joint Secretary), Mrs.Chawla, Mrs.Rakhi Mirchandani and an encouraging team of young students of Jaihind College including Sania, Heena, Aakarsh, Vishakha, Hina, Kirti, Ankita and Juhi, all belonging to the Sindhi Circle.
